Pastor C J  & Cathy Duffey


Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit Pastor Duffey founded CBM in 2007. He owns A Fresh Start Bail Bonds Company and  was the Chaplain for Choice Hospice for 16 years until his retirement in 2025. He received the MLK Jr. award for "Pastor of the year 2018" in Sulphur Springs/Hopkins County, Texas. 

Cathy supports the pastor in all areas of the ministry.  She is in the current director of The Lord's Work Food Pantry.  Together they own and operate Duffey's Boxing & Fitness Gym.


Married September 20, 2015

God has blessed them with a family of 7 children , 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. They are truly a BLENDED family of several different nationalities. They are able to show the true love of God. For God IS color blind. It's all about His LOVE through us as His children.

 

Deacon Vernon & Debra Abron

Chairman of the Deacons

The Abrons came to CBM in 2012.  
Deacon and Deaconess Vernon and Debra Abron have both been charged with serving in the Kingdom of God to do whatever is called upon for the Holy Spirit. 
 They are both staff and prayer warriors for CBM. They also serve as assistants to Pastor Duffey and First Lady Cathy.
 He was ordained as a deacon for CBM in 2014. He serves as Chairman of Deacons, Finance and treasure. His favorite scripture is Philippians 4:6-7.  
 She is fondly called Debbie,. She  serves as announcement clerk, and greeter. Her  favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11.

They were married in 1988.  The Lord joined them together with a total of 9 children. They now have 50 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is also the Owner/President of Elite News , Dallas, Texas.

Deacon Thomas & Debbie Lamb


The Lambs joined CBM October 2022.

He was ordained and installed as deacon at CBM February 11, 2026.

They were involved in children and youth ministries in other churches in Hopkins County since 1995. Deacon Thomas serves with a true servant's heart in any area that is needed in the ministry such as maintenance, greeting and food pantry. His wife Debbie is by his side with full support. She is always ready with a loving heart and smile to everyone she meets.


They have been married since Feb. 17, 1978. They are proud parents and grandparents being blessed with 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Their daughter & son-in-law along with their 4 children serve in music ministry In Virginia. One son lives locally and one son in heaven.


Minister Daniel Sullivan


Daniel Sullivan  joined CBM in 2020. He was ordained into the ministry Nov.  2021. He helps out running the sound room and video screen for our Sunday morning service.  He is also very involved with street ministry in Houston, Tx and our local jail ministries in Hopkins County.
